The Simca 1100 was the first forward-drive traction of the brand founded by Henri Theodore Pigozzi. It offered a breath of fresh air and modernity for the era, adopting a transversal engine, 4 independently controlled wheels and a modern aesthetic. It was inspired by a study of the Fiat that would become the Autobianchi Primula. The Simca 1100 was produced between 1967 and 1981 in the factory of Poissy. It was the bestselling car in France in 1972.
