A few fays ago, Robert Kubica got nhistoric victory at the 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours. Today, we’re delighted to announce some big news: the launch of Solido’s 1/18 scale Hypercars! A great comeback that will delight collectors and awaken fond memories in our most loyal enthusiasts.
Hypercar 1/18: a stunning new range from Solido!
The Hypercar category has been introduced in 2021, replacing the LMP1s. It is the leading category in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), notably at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. These cars can also compete in IMSA, where they are known as GTPs (Grand Touring Prototypes).
Thanks to this new category, the discipline has never been so competitive and popular!
Along with Formula 1, it’s the most popular motorsport. Of course, the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans is the highlight every year, as is the Dakar Rally in the World Rally Raid Championship.
The category features many manufacturers, including Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin, Toyota, Cadillac, BMW, Alpine and Peugeot. Others will be arriving in the next few years (Genesis/Hyundai and McLaren). The formula is so popular that Hypercars regulations have just been extended until 2032!
Endurance cars are not new to Solido!
In the 60s and 70s, the famous 100 series already featured the iconic models of the era (Chaparral, Alpine A442, Porsche 917K, Matra Simca 670…). More recently, we’ve also offered a number of iconic Porsche models (935 K3, 936, 935 Mobydick, etc.) in 1/18 scale.
Today, we’re opening a new chapter with the latest models from today’s leading racing teams. Five 1/18 scale models are currently under development and will reach our dealers in 2026.
