After his retirement in 1981, when he was an official Renault – Elf driver, Bruno Saby returned to Rallye-Monte-Carlo in a Renault 5 Turbo with the firm intention of securing a good result. The Frenchman finished 5th overall with his yellow R5 and even won his class behind the infernal trio of Opel / Audi / Porsche.
