Paul Belmondo, son of Jean-Paul, is more attracted to car racing than to movie sets. A few years before he started in Formula 1, the winner of the 1982 Volant Elf was driving a Renault 5 Turbo. He competed in a few races of the 1984 Europa Cup, a single-brand circuit competition that replaced the Gordini Cup and served as an “appetizer” before the F1 races on the old continent.
