First Subaru world champion (in 1995) Colin McRae arrives at the start of the 1998 season with the will to do better than in 97 and to get a second title. At the Monte Carlo, Colin put in a superb performance and finished 3rd with his Impreza n°3. This was a good start to the season and confirmed his status as a title contender. Since then, the Impreza and McRae have become legendary and almost inseparable from each other!
