Janvier 2022, le championnat du monde passe à l’ère hybride et découvre les nouvelles « Rally1 » qui remplacent les « WorldRallyCars » instaurées en 1997. Sébastien Loeb et Sébastien Ogier sont au départ du Monte-Carlo, chacun au volant d’une Rally1 différente. Suite à cette superbe bagarre entre « les deux Seb », Loeb finit par remporter le Rallye Monte-Carlo 2022 après la crevaison de son adversaire dans l’avant dernière spéciale. Il décroche ainsi sa 8e victoire au « Monte-Carl’ » pour son premier rallye au volant d’une Ford et pour son premier rallye copiloté par Isabelle Galmiche ! Il devient également le premier vainqueur de l’ère hybride en WRC, un moment historique à bien des égards !

In January 2022, the World Rally Championship moved into the hybrid era and discovered the new “Rally1” cars that replaced the “World Rally Cars” introduced in 1997. Sébastien Loeb and Sébastien Ogier are at the start of the Monte-Carlo Rally, each driving a different Rally1. After a superb battle between “the two Sebs”, Loeb ended up winning the 2022 Monte Carlo Rally after his opponent got a puncture on the penultimate stage. This was his 8th victory on the “Monte-Carl'” with his first rally at the wheel of a Ford and for his first rally co-driven by Isabelle Galmiche! He also became the first winner of the hybrid era in the WRC, a historic moment in many ways!
