In 1972, Jean-Claude Andruet (nicknamed “La Panique”) was one of the official Alpine drivers. He was logically at the start of the Monte-Carlo Rally. Nevertheless, this 41st edition of the “Monte-Carl'” did not smile on the Alpine drivers. Andruet finished 26th just behind his teammate Bernard Darniche!
