De 1993 à 2003, Gilles Panizzi est pilote officiel Peugeot. Dans les années 90, il participe au développement de la mythique Peugeot 306 Maxi avant d’enchaîner à son volant les victoires dans le championnat national. En 1998, pour fêter son deuxième titre national, Peugeot l’envoie en WRC (catégorie 2L). Sa saison débute au Monte-Carlo. Panizzi fait sensation en signant un temps scratch dans l’ES2. A l’arrivée, il se classe 9e et remporte la victoire dans sa catégorie !
From 1993 to 2003, Gilles Panizzi was an official Peugeot driver. In the 90s, he participated in the development of the mythical Peugeot 306 Maxi before winning a number of races in the national championship. In 1998, to celebrate his second national title, Peugeot sent him to the WRC (2L category). His season began in Monte Carlo. Panizzi caused a sensation by setting a scratch time in SS2. At the finish, he was 9th and won his category!
